Biological and forest reserve in the municipal district, situated on top of Viração Hill (Morro da Viração), at 270 meter height comprising an area of 149,388.90 m2, was inaugurated on September 21 of 1976. There is a natural font in the location. There is a mirador from which you can have a panoramic view of: Piratininga and Itaipu Lagoons; Piratininga, Itaipu and Camboinhas Beaches; São Francisco, Jurujuba, Charitas and Icaraí neighborhoods, among others; all the extent of Guanabara Bay and open sea up to how far the eyes are able to see.

It is also possible to see Rio de Janeiro city with some of its neighborhoods, as well as Rio-Niterói Bridge. The park is largely attended by hang gliders who can find two appropriate ramps. City Park's Ecological Station (Municipal Law "Lei Municipal" no 459 of 03/11/83 - Organic Law "Lei Orgânica" of 04/04/90, art. 323, Subparagraph (Inciso) VIII and art. 18 of the Act of Transitory Dispositions (Ato das Disposições Transitórias) - 149,388.90 m².
