ICARAÍ BEACH
It is situated inside Guanabara Bay and it means in Tupi (an original language spoken by the indians when the Brazil was found): Blessed water, sacred water, sacred river or salt river. With an extension of 1,200 meters and vegetation comprised of almond trees and coconut trees it is the mostly well known in the city. There is space for different sports and a sidewalk where you can use for jogging and walking, or just to enjoy the beautiful view. It is also a space for the greatest events held in the city. From there you can see the rocks Pedra do Índio and Pedra de Itapuca, MAC and part of Rio de Janeiro city, with Corcovado and Pão de Açúcar Hills standing out. |
